Privacy Policy

Restart ("we", "us") is operated by fegan, based in Switzerland. This page explains what data we collect when you use Restart, why we collect it, and how you can control it.
What we collect
- Account: your email address, used to sign you in via a magic link (we never store a password).
- Product data: the tasks you enter each day, whether you marked them done, your daily check-in status, and any reflection notes you write when returning after a gap.
- Onboarding answers: your response to the "why did you stop last time" question, if you answer it.
- Billing: if you subscribe, Stripe processes your payment directly — we store only your subscription status and Stripe's reference IDs, never your card details.
- Email activity: whether reminder emails we send were delivered, opened, or clicked, so we can avoid over-emailing you.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data.
- We don't share your data with advertisers.
- We don't use your task content for anything other than showing it back to you.
Who processes it on our behalf
- Turso — hosts our database (your account and product data).
- Resend — sends login links and reminder emails.
- Stripe — processes payments and manages your subscription.
- Vercel — hosts the app.
Your controls
You can turn off reminder emails any time from Settings. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings — this is immediate and cannot be undone. You can also email us at zhangrich5@gmail.com to request deletion or export of your data.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your data. We may keep minimal billing records where required by law.
Children
Restart is not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll notify you by email.
